BEFORE YOUR TANNING VISIT
Q. Are there ways to enhance the Infinity Sunless Tanning treatment results?
A. Before visiting the salon, to achieve the perfect sunless tan you should follow these simple steps:
- Shower.
- Shave.
- Exfoliate with Infinity Sun's non-abrasive body polisher. Only use an abrasive exfoliant up to three day prior to your Infinity Sun session, as this will create abrasions that will interfere with the eveness of the application.
- Do not wear lotion.
- Do not wear deodorant.
- Indulge in either the Infinity Sun Prep Gel or Ph Balance Normalization treatment.
- Wear loose, dark clothing and open-toed sandals.
Q. What if I am pregnant?
A. We recommend consulting with your doctor before proceeding with an Sunless Tanning Treatment.
Q. I have fair skin and have never been able to tan. Will I look tan after an my Golden Bee Treatment?
A. This product was designed specifically for individuals who can't or prefer not to tan conventionally.
THE TANNING PROCESS
Q. What should I wear during my sunless tanning session?
A. Most people wear either nothing, a bathing suit or disposal under garments. The Bronzer we use in our bronze solution is water-soluble and should wash out, but the DHA may permanently stain what you wear during the tanning session.
Q. What happens if the Sunless tanning mist gets in my eyes?
A. The tanning mist has been thoroughly tested and the results showed no eye or skin irritation. Our tanning mist has been used in over one million sunless tanning treatments with few adverse reactions documented.
Q. What happens if I inhale any of the Sunless tanning mist?
A. While no one should purposely inhale or ingest the mist, it is known that DHA (the active tanning ingredient) is a non-hazardous compound and causes no adverse reaction in moderate quantities when applied topically or even ingested. DHA has been used as a diet supplement in sports nutrition and is non-carcinogenic. Testing has further shown that DHA is less toxic than aspirin, caffeine and even common table salt. Ingesting this minimal amount of DHA should pose no health risk to the consumer.
Q. Are there any optional precautions I can use with before I receive my sunless tanning treatment?
A. When applying DHA sunless products in a spray or mist, it may be difficult to avoid exposure to eyes, lips or guard against accidental inhalation of the tanning mist. Beehive Waxing Salon and the FDA recommends (when tanning in a spray booth) that users cover the area of the eyes with standard UV tanning eyewear, protect the lips with lip balm and use a nose filter to protect membranes in the nasal passages, as well as avoid inhaling or ingesting the product.
AFTER YOUR INFINITY TANNING VISIT
Q. Will my skin be wet?
A. The mist applied during your Golden Beehive Sunless tanning is moist and very fine. Wait two to three minutes before dressing ensures that you will not smudge the bronzer.
Q. How long should I wait after a tanning session before showering?
A. To give the DHA enough time to fully set, we recommend waiting a minimum of 6-10 hours after tanning. We recommend not showering before the next day. Showering sooner may diminish the intensity of the tan. If you tanned using solution with Bronzer, the bronzer will wash off in the shower, but the DHA that creates your longer-lasting tan will remain.
Q. Will swimming affect my sunless tan?
A. Swimming in chlorinated water or salt water can fade the Infinity Sun results, cause possible streaking and will diminish the length of your tan. However, normal activities such as bathing, showering or physical activities will not affect the quality of the tan, it will make it gradually fade.
Q. If I receive an Infinity Sunless Tan, can I also tan in tanning beds and in the sun?
A. Yes. There is nothing in the tanning mist that would prevent you from tanning in tanning beds or the sun. In fact, a number of customers have found that tanning with UV rays and the Infinity Sun tanning mist actually gives them a better overall tan. If you plan to use a tanning bed and receive a sunless tanning treatment in the same day, we recommend that you use the tanning bed first. Remember, however, that the Golden Bee Sunless tan does not give you any protection from UV rays.
Q. How many Infinity Sun Tanning Treatments will I need to achieve the color I want?
A. you'll be tan after one session, but it may take additional sessions to achieve your desired color. Once you reach your ideal color, you should be able to maintain it by tanning every seven to ten days.
AFTER-CARE PRODUCTS
- Use the Extend or Extend with Shimmer to keep the skin hydrated and make the tan last longer.
- Use the Infinity Sun aerosol to touch up the face, hands, and feet between Infinity Sun sessions.
