Leading Carlsbad Waxing Salon Gives Back By Helping Save Lives…

Saturday, September 26, the Stylish Beehive Waxing Salon in Carlsbad  hosted a philanthropic day long event http://www.beehivewaxingsalon.com/match/ filled with food, fun and festivities benefitting the Be The Match Registry of the National Marrow Donor Program, which since 1987, they have arranged for more than 33,000 transplants to give patients a second chance at life. Today, they facilitate more than 4,300 transplants a year.

Over 100 people were screened with just a simple swab on the inside of their cheek. We are pleased with the success and the hopes that we could help a patient and save a life!   The outpour of support and participation made our event second in total number of people screened only to the San Diego Fire Department’s Bone Marrow Registry event.

We want to thank all our partners within the community that made this such a wonderful event. Guests had a chance to win a bevy of prizes ranging from Chiropractic, Massage, and Holistic Health treatments courtesy of Fire Mountain Spine & Rehabilitation Center, dinner and show packages from the Belly Up, A Fitness Pak from Jazzercise, Professional Portrait Session from Creative Photography Inc, Waxing Services, Booty Parlor Products & tanning memberships.

The Food was donated by Tidewater Tavern in Solana Beach a favorite hang out for the Beehive Girls and the Cupcake Diva Liz Bellville.

The Beehive & Co. is all about giving back and it is a motto that all BG’s (Beehive Girls live by) .  Hence, a special thank you goes out to our very own BG Catherine, who was a perfect match for her sister, Kellie and was the light and inspiration behind this great event and the building awareness of such a worthy cause.
